Just because I drive a German car doesn’t mean it won’t be ‘Murica’d out!
Happy 4th everyone!

I’m not doing this. Does this make me a bad American?

I recall that, a few years ago, they figured out that the car that was most American (content, assembly) was a Toyota Avalon. I’m sure there’s some ‘Murrica in that car somewhere.

It was the Camry this year. Ford technically cant even be considered an American car based on the study.

I could make a joke about automatic transmissions being the most ‘murican thing of them all but I won’t.

Most of their stuff is based on European design, so that would probably be correct.

I wonder what the most American car is now? An F150? Maybe the SRT? Who knows?

Well for “car” its the Camry. But I think the F-150 is the most American built automobile.

Oh you’re soooo original. Not like it’s not mentioned nearly every time I make a post about the car or anything.

Oh duh - you said that. Difficult to believe the Camry is more American than, say, an SRT, but I’m guessing they don’t count models where they only make a few thousand of them a year.

Isn’t the German Bird a golden eagle?

The SigOther makes fun of me - whenever we see a 3 series I peek in the window to see if it’s a manual. I don’t know if it’s because we’re in NYC, but I’d say the hit rate is less than 10%.

The minivans especially make sense - if they make them here and sell most of them here (guessing they do) that’s a win-win.
